Practice References

This is a reference guide for the practices named in your Energetic Attunement Guide. Where possible, we point you directly to Dr. Eleanor Haspel-Portner's work — she is the originator of the Four Worlds framework that this offering is built upon, and her teachings are the most authoritative source for several of these practices.

Other practices reference their canonical lineage sources.

The Practices

  • Description Dr. Haspel-Portner's foundational system, integrating Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, and Physical dimensions of consciousness into a unified energy map. This is the framework that underpins your entire Energetic Attunement Guide.

Where to learn more: Take Dr. Eleanor's free Four Worlds Self-Assessment to discover your own profile, and explore the Noble Energy Maps system for the full framework.text goes here

  • A clarity practice from Dr. Haspel-Portner's work — used to check alignment across the Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, and Physical Worlds before making significant commitments. When all four worlds say yes, you know you're aligned.

Where to learn more:Join Dr. Eleanor's free Manifest Your Dreams Webinar (Thursdays at Noon ET on Zoom), where the exercise is regularly taught and practiced. Or join The Four Worlds Membership for $7/month to access monthly masterclasses where she teaches the technique in depth.

  • A breathing meditation that balances the body's solar (active/yang) and lunar (receptive/yin) energies. Eleanor teaches this as a centering practice especially well-suited to sensitive designs that need to regulate energy across the day.

Where to learn more:Watch Dr. Eleanor's "Balancing The Four Worlds" guided meditation on YouTube — her teaching covers the energetic principles behind Sun/Moon balancing work. Explore her full YouTube channel for additional guided practices.

  • A 20-minute, twice-daily mantra-based meditation technique founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1950s. Eleanor began her own meditation journey with TM in 1973 and credits it with extraordinary spiritual openings. TM is distinct from mindfulness meditation in that it does not require focus or concentration — it works by letting the mind settle naturally inward.

Where to learn more:Visit the official TM website at tm.org to find a certified teacher near you or attend a free introductory session. Important: TM is taught exclusively through certified instructors — there is no book, video, or app that substitutes for the in-person instruction.

  • A traditional Taoist energy meditation that circulates qi (life energy) through the body's two central energy channels — the Governing Vessel up the spine and the Conception Vessel down the front of the body. The practice is grounding, energetically integrating, and supports the kind of subtle awareness that the action points in your guide cultivate.

Where to learn more: A traditional practice with no single "official" home, but Mantak Chia's Universal Healing Tao is among the most authoritative modern teaching lineages. Many free introductions are available on YouTube; look for teachers grounded in either the Taoist or qigong tradition.

  • A method developed by psychotherapist David Grove for asking non-leading, metaphor-honoring questions that help you discover your own truth without interference from outside concepts or assumptions. Eleanor draws on Clean Language for her clarity work because it lets you arrive at insights that are genuinely yours — not borrowed.

Where to learn more:Visit cleanlanguage.com — the canonical resource for David Grove's Clean Language work, maintained by his collaborators Penny Tompkins and James Lawley. Their Introducing Clean Language article is an excellent starting point for understanding the method.

  • A 3,300-year-old regenerative movement practice from the Lao Tzu lineage — distinct from generic Tai Chi or Qigong. It combines specific movements, breath patterns, and mental focus to cultivate vital life energy through the body. Particularly recommended in your action points for keeping the lymphatic system moving and the energy grounded.

Where to learn more: Visit Circle of Chi — the official home of Tai Chi Gung as taught by Master Lama Rasaji, one of only twelve Master Lamas in the world. They offer online classes for beginners and advanced practitioners.

  • A reflective practice of writing or speaking to your wisest, most aligned inner self — often through journaling. The idea is simple: pose a question to your Higher Self, then write the response your Higher Self would give. Over time, this practice strengthens your access to your own deeper knowing.

Where to learn more: Dr. Eleanor's free Manifest Your Dreams Webinar regularly explores Higher Self work. For solo practice, set aside quiet journaling time, write a question, and respond as your Higher Self would answer. The more you practice, the clearer the voice becomes.

  • The foundational practice of writing down your dreams, insights, intuitions, questions, and synchronicities — referenced throughout your Action Points. Journaling is the simplest and most universally accessible practice in your guide, and one of the most powerful: it externalizes inner content so you can see your own patterns over time.

Where to learn more: No special resource needed — pick up a notebook and write. For a structured starting point, Julia Cameron's Morning Pages approach (three pages of stream-of-consciousness writing first thing each morning) is widely loved and has changed many people's relationship with their own thinking.

  • A self-treatment movement system using soft rollers and small balls to support connective tissue health, lymphatic flow, and stress reduction. Especially helpful for designs that hold tension in the body or need gentle daily maintenance to keep energy flowing.

Where to learn more: Visit the official MELT Method website, founded by Sue Hitzmann. They offer free intro videos, online courses, and certified instructors.

  • Heat-based detoxification and circulation practice — particularly supportive for designs with high physical sensitivity, those that need detoxification support, or anyone wanting to amplify their daily lymphatic and circulatory health. Infrared saunas, traditional saunas, and even hot baths all support the underlying physiology.

Where to learn more: Available widely — many gyms, spas, and wellness centers offer access. For evidence-based protocols on duration and frequency, see Dr. Rhonda Patrick's research summary on sauna benefits. Always consult your physician before starting if you have cardiovascular conditions.

  • The practice of monitoring and gently redirecting your inner dialogue — recognizing that what you say to yourself shapes your reality more than what others say to you. The voice in your head can be your harshest critic or your most encouraging coach; you get to choose.

Where to learn more: A foundational practice woven through many wisdom traditions. Dr. Eleanor often discusses this work in her Manifest Your Dreams Webinar and teachings. For a deeper academic perspective, look into the work of cognitive-behavioral psychology and self-compassion research (Kristin Neff's Self-Compassion site is a well-regarded resource).
