01 · Lift-off
Apparently, the job description was there all along.
My friend Tracey once asked me: “What two jobs did you want to do as a kid?”
“Pilot,” I said. “And fireman.”
“Oh, so you like to fly in and put out fires.”
YES. That.
I love listening carefully, reading the room and responding when there’s pressure and something needs sorting. Add 30-plus years in technology and 25-plus as a business owner, and you get a fairly well-travelled pair of ears. With a bit of useful mischief attached.
02 · Fresh eyes
Sometimes the missing tool is an outside brain.
When you’ve lived with a problem for months, it can be hard to see which parts are facts, which are assumptions and which are “we’ve always done it that way.”
I can come in without that history in my head. Listen properly. Ask the questions. Help work out what matters and what a useful next step looks like.
That might mean helping an owner-led business untangle its tools and vendors. Or joining a larger team that needs an outside voice who isn’t already attached to a particular answer.
03 · Calm hands
Plenty of miles. Still curious.
My work has taken me across Canada, around the US, and into the UK, Ireland, Bermuda and Cayman. Across industries, small businesses, bigger organizations and municipal, provincial and federal government.
Systems, security, cloud platforms, software products, vendors, teams. Different rooms. Different stakes. People trying to get something useful done.
I’m still building, too. Freakquencies is a business line I built with human curiosity, AI-assisted tools and my own voice. Personalized songs. A website I can update from the pickleball court. Practical AI has to earn its place by being useful.
04 · The flight plan
Bring me the knot.
Here are a few things you can hire me for:
- A stalled technology project. Help figure out what is stuck and get it moving.
- A messy mix of systems, tools or vendors. Untangle the moving parts and the conversations.
- A big technology decision. Get a plain-English second opinion before committing.
- Practical AI. Find useful ways for a non-technical team to put it to work.
- A tired website. Rebuild it so it’s fast, modern and easier to keep current.
Rent my experience and my ears, not my ability to follow someone else’s procedure.
I prefer short engagements: a half-day, a day, or a clearly scoped gig over a few days to a few weeks. Two-hour minimum. Remote or South Florida. Billed through Rockstar Antics Entertainment Inc.
First, we talk about what’s happening and what a useful outcome would be. Then we agree on the work.
05 · Say hey
Interesting knot? I’m listening.
I’m available now. If your technology is getting in the way, tell me a little about it. Or pass this along to someone whose shoulders might drop an inch if they had a calm outside brain in the room.

No emergency required. We can have a look before anything catches fire. 😁
